Description
- Must be able to make decisions on repair priorities based on work assignments.
- Participates in preventive maintenance programs and procedures for the facilities (HVAC, fire systems, door inspections).
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repair existing door hardware and or building related systems.
- Must be able to assemble furniture/wire racks and relocate them. Install picture frames/shelves.
- Performs electronic recordkeeping related to preventive maintenance and repairs in the facilities.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Must be able to work alone and or in a team environment.
- Adheres to all Estée Lauder safety procedures and practices (GMP/LOTO etc).
- Trains new employees on ELC practices and procedures within the department.
- A detailed approach to problem solving as it pertains to facilities equipment in the buildings.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle and is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance needs.
- Advises management on current inventory status and requisitioning parts and supplies.
- Travel to multiple buildings within the campus.
- Assists management in evaluating new equipment installations. Performs other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- Person requires positive outlook and high energy level for very fast paced stressful working environment.
- In addition to being resourceful and having excellent interpersonal skills, must be team oriented.
- Strong leadership abilities with the skill set to exercise independent judgment with respect to real or potential problems.
- Must possess a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient in communicating both written and oral.
Pay Range:
Anticipated Base Salary Range $25.00 to $32.00 (Depending on qualifications, skills, experience and/or budget), based on a 40 hour work week (range to be scaled accordingly).
