Job Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team in Minnesota. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation across our facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical code compliance, safety standards, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems throughout the site.
- Perform “Maintenance and Minor Repair Work” in accordance with MNDLI.
- Schedules and facilitates 3rd party electrical work that is above and beyond “Maintenance and Minor Repair Work”
- Collaborate with contractors, maintenance staff, and project managers to complete projects.
- Completes maintenance logs, inspection records, and documents all work following all GMP/GDP requirements.
- Perform on time all PM’s and workorders, and document all work using the CMMS(computerized maintenance management system).
- Ensure the site stays compliant with Federal, State, and Local Code.
- Respond to electrical calls, requests, and issues.
- Performs routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and troubleshoot the cause of a breakdown.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Licensed Maintenance Electrician Registered with the State of Minnesota. Must sign as the Responsible Licensed Individual on the Employer Registration Application for the site. (required).
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, state and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLCs, motors, BAS, and HVAC electrical control systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
