VMO Commercial Manager
for our global team in Budapest
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled, automation-driven, and leadership-oriented Manager to oversee all post-delivery processes following the completion of services by our Managed Service Providers (MSP). This role ensures accurate invoicing, goods receipting, financial postings, and alignment with contractual requirements, while leading a small team and driving continuous automation to improve efficiency and control.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP expertise, strong financial and accounting knowledge, and team leadership capabilities to ensure smooth, compliant, and scalable operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Post-Delivery Operational Ownership

- Serve as the primary owner of comercial activities occurring within the MSP service delivery.

- Ensure timely and accurate Goods Receipts for all services based on contractual commitments.

- Validate and reconcile invoices against purchase orders, service confirmations, and contractual terms.

- Maintain visibility into change orders and their downstream impact on billing, forecasting, and invoicing accuracy (without managing change order creation or approval).

- Ensure correct application of debit/credit notes based on discrepancies and contract guidelines.
Financial, Accounting & Cost Allocation Management

- Oversee cost allocations, including intercompany charges, internal cost center allocations, and financial reconciliations.

- Ensure accurate SAP FI/CO postings related to delivered services.

- Support Finance in month-end closing activities, accruals, and reporting requirements.

- Track spending vs. budget and highlight risks, deviations, or opportunities for corrective action.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Insights

- Support annual budget development and rolling forecasts for MSP-related spend.

- Provide analysis and reporting on actuals versus budget, including variance explanations.

- Assess the financial impact of operational or contractual changes, including previous change orders.
SAP Expertise & Automation Leadership

- Act as the SAP process expert for goods receipt, invoice verification, financial postings, and cost allocation.

- Lead the automation roadmap to streamline post-delivery processes, reduce manual work, and improve data accuracy.

- Improve SAP workflows, data accuracy, and system governance to ensure robust operational capabilities.

- Maintain high-quality master data (vendors, contracts, cost centers, service catalogs, etc.).
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

- Act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and the MSP for all comercial matters.

- Manage issue resolution related to billing discrepancies, service confirmations, or documentation gaps.

- Support vendor governance reviews with insights on spend, accuracy, and operational performance.
Compliance, Controls & Process Improvement

- Ensure all processes adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and financial governance.

- Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.

- Continuously identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and improved control over financial flows.
Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and develop a team of approximately two specialists responsible for post-delivery processes.

- Provide coaching, training, and performance management to enhance team capability, accuracy, and efficiency.

- Allocate workload, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of team commitments.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
Requirements:
- BSC degree in Business, Economics, Finance and Accounting
- 5-8+ years' experience in similar areas.
- Experience managing or leading small teams (formal and informal leadership).
- Basic expertise with SAP, Arriba, PBi and strong capability in process troubleshooting and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of invoicing, , cost allocation, and intercompany accounting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
- Demonstrated capability to identify and implement process automation or digital solutions.
- Understanding of data management, reporting, and data visualization
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers or outsourced service delivery models.
- Exposure to process automation tools (RPA, workflow automation, dashboards, power automate).
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate team members.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership. Systems-driven thinker who naturally looks for automation and simplification opportunities.
- Strong communicator with the ability to convert operational details into clear financial insights.
- Comfortable managing both tactical daily tasks and strategic process improvements.
