Vendor & Contract Specialist

To join our Global team in Budapest

 

The role:  

Vendor & Contract Specialist is responsible for managing tactical tasks related to vendor cooperation. This role requires a deep understanding of vendor agreements and the ability to extract and add value through the case by case negotiations with the Master Service Provider (MSP), contract drafting and review process. The Specialist will negotiate, review and revise MSP change orders and SOWs to ensure that the company maximizes benefits while minimizing financial expenditure and exposure.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • The core responsibilities are: intimate knowledge of vendor relationship and contracts with the ability to negotiate / execute / extract the intended value from the agreements through the contracting process.
  • Negotiate with vendors, MSPs to reach favorable agreements, including prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other contractual conditions.
  • Review strategic and tactical vendor agreements and revise as necessary to ensure that the company is maximizing benefits while minimizing financial expenditure / exposure.  Recommend contract revisions to improve language and reduce gaps/inconsistencies.
  • Perform first line analysis of contracts (drafting required). 
  • Contract execution (including the management of contract approval packages) and executed agreement review as part of the process. Includes escalation to Manager when red flags are caught.
  • Oversee vendor governance activity and ensure it is properly documented.
  • Proactively monitor vendor Agreements to ensure limitations associated with length of term, renewals etc. are not violated.
  • Oversee and ensure vendor tasks/deliverables are being contractually defined from a P2P perspective.
  • Gather and analyze market data on a regular basis relative to the appropriate category and region to properly assess and evaluate market and industry conditions applied to determine the vendor strategy.
  • Manage the relevant vendor interactions and relationship throughout a project.
  • Develop a solid understanding of contracts, supply agreement templates along with thorough understanding of relevant legal concepts.
  • Maintaining agreements database, tracking contracts' expiry dates, and assuring the extensions are signed in a due time.

 

 

Key Skills

  • BSC degree in Business related field.
  • 4+ years' experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Prior experience managing procurement related processes .
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendor partners.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team & customer base.
  • Ability to influence & motivate peers & partners.
  • Ability to think communicate effectively.
  • Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Service NOW.
