The role

As the Senior Event Artist, you will be working in store leading by example and drive artistry, as well as supporting our Commercial team in sales & service with a clear link to the MAC DNA and strategy.

When you’re not working in store, you will be the face of MAC through the content you make, the masterclasses you facilitate and events you participate in. With your expertise and passion for makeup and people, you will share the brand's story and vision to build brand love. One day, you will be working in store, the next day you will be executing a masterclass at a makeup school.

You will be responsible for Artist Relations and SoMe activities such as scheduling and executing local AR initiatives, which can be both physical and digital. Introducing Artist Relations clients to the new product launches, pushing selected categories and makeup trends according to the MAC marketing team and focusing on the Pro membership business and content creation.

You will be reporting to the Department Store Manager in Magasin, but have a dotted line to our Global Senior Artist for MAC.

The position is permanent and full-time, based in Copenhagen. Approximately 50% of the time will be on the shop floor in Magasin K and the other 50% will be spent on Artistry related tasks.

More specifically, in store you will:

• Provide exceptional and authentic customer experience by finding the right products based on the customer's needs and be responsible for achieving your individual sales targets.
• Train, coach, and inspire the make-up artists in store, as well as MAC Content creators.
• Establish collaborative relationships with your colleagues and your direct manager.
• Drive makeup bookings, in-store events and facilitate masterclasses.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and conversion to improve customer loyalty that will add impact to the business' financial objective.

As part of the Artist Relations role, you will also:

• Be responsible for Social Media activities on your own platform (IG & TikTok) as well as retailers, creating content for new make-up launches, consumer moments and trends.
• Build new sponsorships and maintain current Artist relation collaborations. Execute workshops and masterclasses at local Make-up schools, TV station and Theatres. 
• Drive PRO Membership business with VIP shopping and loyalty.
• Assist in special projects or external events, such as local influencer meet-ups, seminars or fashion weeks.

Qualifications

You are the perfect fit if you:

• Have a minimum 2 years of experience within MAC
• Have advanced/strong make-up skills
• Have previous retail experience within cosmetics  
• Have the ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events
• Are business-minded and aligned with KPI's set by the company
• Are an active user of Social Media platforms such as Tiktok and Instagram
• Are proficient in a Scandinavian language and in English both in verbal and written communication  
• Are able to work independently and in a team in a dynamic environment
