Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa - Salon Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Salon Manager to lead our vibrant team of service providers and drive operational and commercial success. Responsible for approximately 85% of total salon turnover, this is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role.

The successful candidate will spend around 80% of their time on the salon floor, actively supporting service flow, team performance and guest satisfaction, and 20% focused on reporting, planning and administration.

You will be accountable for delivering against pre-set financial targets and performance standards, all while upholding the highest levels of service excellence in line with our brand procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Recommend, develop, and implement strategies to achieve service revenue and retail profitability targets.

Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities for commercial and operational growth.

Collaborate with the wider management team to execute impactful initiatives that support the salon’s business goals.

Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and innovation to maintain a competitive edge.

Financial Management:

Oversee and manage salon budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Review and interpret weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports (provided), identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate action is taken.

Optimise resource allocation to maximise productivity and profit.

Ensure all financial processes are carried out in line with company policy and compliance standards.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead, coach, and develop a large team of service professionals and guest service team members, supported by the Salon Leadership Team.

Create a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.

Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and provide real-time coaching and feedback.

Support and coordinate in-salon training and development to ensure team skill progression and adherence to company standards.

Customer Service and Guest Relations:

Ensure the delivery of exceptional client experiences throughout the entire guest journey.

Promptly and professionally manage guest enquiries and concerns in accordance with company protocols.

Build strong guest relationships, tailoring services to client preferences to support satisfaction and retention.

Implement initiatives to grow loyalty, increase rebooking, and drive repeat business.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee all daily salon operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning.

Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and cleanliness standards.

Support inventory management and supplier coordination alongside the relevant leadership team members.

Drive continuous improvement by refining operational systems and adopting best-in-class industry practices.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience preferably
• The ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
• Previous business planning experience including setting sales and customer service targets, sales analysis and staff scheduling
• Proven track record of leading a team to achieve sales and customer service targets
• Experience of creating and executing in-store events 
• Ability to work retail hours including days, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment
• Proficient in Microsoft office
