POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Analytics Apprentice to join our team at The Estée Lauder Companies. This apprenticeship provides an exceptional entry-level opportunity into both the prestige beauty industry and the growing field of data science.

 

You will work within either a National Accounts and Sales or Online team, gaining on-the-job experience and structured learning. Supporting across a variety of projects, you will collect, organise and analyse data to identify trends and present insights that help drive customer solutions and business opportunities. This role will suit someone with a curious and analytical mindset, keen to develop a career in data while immersed in the exciting world of beauty.

 

This position is vital to supporting our data-led decision-making and ensuring our business continues to meet the evolving needs of our consumers.

WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

As a Data Analytics Apprentice, you will:

  • Work within ELC’s data architecture to produce reports and dashboards that inform decision-making.
  • Identify, collect and migrate data across internal and external systems.
  • Manipulate and link different datasets for analysis.
  • Apply data and information security standards in line with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
  • Perform database queries across multiple tables to extract data.
  • Use analytical techniques such as data mining, forecasting and modelling to identify trends and patterns.
  • Assist in producing performance dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Carry out data quality checks and cleansing to ensure accuracy.
  • Apply data visualisation and presentation tools to communicate insights.
  • Summarise and present analysis findings, making recommendations to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent).
  • Ability to meet the requirements for participation in a UK Government Apprenticeship programme.
  • Proven ability to balance work and study commitments.
  • Logical and creative thinking skills, with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, take responsibility and show initiative.
  • Strong curiosity about consumer behaviour, technology and data trends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Appreciation for diverse perspectives and cultural viewpoints.
