Description
We are looking for a commercially curious, collaborative leader to help shape the global supplier ecosystem and value creation agenda across A&P. The role may support spend areas such as media and MarTech, creative and content production, influencer marketing, public relations, events and experiential marketing, depending on business need and the successful candidate’s experience.
This is broader than a traditional sourcing role. You will work with marketing and cross-functional leaders to translate business priorities into supplier strategies, commercial models and partnerships that strengthen marketing effectiveness, innovation, agility and sustainable value.
What You Will Do
• Develop and execute multi-year spend-area strategies, supplier ecosystem roadmaps and value creation priorities aligned with A&P and business objectives.
• Lead complex global or multi-regional sourcing, negotiation and contracting initiatives across marketing services, balancing commercial value with effectiveness, quality, innovation, speed and risk.
• Partner with Marketing, Media, Technology, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Data and regional or brand teams to turn business needs into practical supplier and commercial strategies.
• Shape agency and supplier operating models, governance, decision rights, commercial structures and scalable source-to-pay ways of working.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and performance routines that unlock market intelligence, new capabilities, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Use spend, supplier, rate, performance and external market data to develop insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead through influence across a global, matrixed organization, enabling regional execution while creating appropriate global consistency and leverage.
• Coach and develop colleagues and cross-functional team members, creating an inclusive, collaborative and high-accountability environment.
• Monitor changes in marketing, media, technology, agency models and consumer engagement, and translate emerging trends into implications for the supplier ecosystem.
Qualifications
We are intentionally open to candidates with varied career paths. Relevant experience may come from procurement, marketing, media, agencies, consulting, technology, operations, supplier management or other adjacent disciplines.
• Approximately 7–12+ years of relevant professional experience is a helpful guide rather than an absolute requirement. We welcome candidates who can demonstrate comparable scope, judgment and impact through a different career path.
• Experience in one or more A&P or marketing-services areas such as media, MarTech/AdTech, creative, content or production, influencer, PR, events, agencies, data, measurement or marketing technology.
• Media experience is preferred, particularly exposure to media agencies, digital platforms, media operations, measurement, AdTech/MarTech or media commercial models, but it is not required for every placement.
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous business problems, develop strategy, lead negotiations or complex initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect data and market dynamics to business decisions.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills across global and cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity, learning agility and interest in how marketing, technology and consumer behavior are changing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; advanced degree and professional certifications are welcome but not required.
