Job Description

This global strategy and operations leadership role is principally focused on governing and managing enterprise value creation of procured goods and services initiatives at the enterprise level.  Accelerate the savings pillar of the Procurement strategy by leading creative design/value thinking across brands and categories, cross-function program management, enterprise savings digital management platforms, standardized value creation operating model, and advanced analytics and management reporting.  The role is especially critical during times of difficult global macroeconomic and business conditions to protect and fuel growth opportunities.

Additionally, this role provides enterprise procurement and finance leadership through the portfolio orchestration of integrated digital, data, analytics and AI strategies across the end‑to‑end source‑to‑pay ecosystem. Working in close partnership with Global Supplier Management (Procurement), IT, and business leadership, the role aligns stakeholders around a shared digital roadmap, governance model, and investment priorities to enable scalable value creation, data‑driven decision‑making, and a simplified, best‑in‑class user experience. By connecting process, data, analytics, and technology - and by influencing adoption and continuous improvement across teams - this leader transforms how the business engages with Procurement, bringing outside‑in innovation and senior thought leadership to modernize ways of working and build enduring capability.

The position interfaces and integrates across any combination of senior and mid-level leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partner organizations including but not limited to Value Chain, Finance, R&D, Legal, IT, Procurement, and the external Supply Base to foster value realization, cost savings, commercial negotiations, and continuous process improvement.

Description

  • Closely collaborates with the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), Global Supplier Management (GSM) (Procurement) leadership team, Strategy and Operations leadership team, and business leaders around the world to lead and develop capabilities integrated with Procurement strategies to deliver value creation and realization.  Guides business leaders to execute initiatives that will improve total cost and/or increase value for the organization.  Enable adoption of value management best practices including discovery, realization, and optimization processes.          
  • Structures and facilitates upstream ideation to accelerate value creation. Drive and facilitate creative ideation workshops.  Build deep engagement and trust leadership with Brand/Function teams to curate business requirements and shape development of feasible programs.  
  • Orchestrates across GSM (Procurement), Brands, Packaging, R&D, Engineering, other Value Chain teams, and suppliers to execute downstream value realization outcomes and a single source of data driven truth.
  • Facilitates project management oversight leveraging the enterprise digital value creation and savings platforms for tracking key project milestones
  • Mediates key project roadblocks with respective teams and leaders, including timeline governance
  • Performs management reporting, including CPO scorecard delivery, brand, category, and other functional scorecard management, and global value creation reviews
  • Leads procured cost of goods (COGS) budget, OPEX, Capex, and PPV savings management, including annual cost standard budget program management, monthly purchase price variance (PPV) operations and management, and brand budget updates
  • Governs global sourcing value creation and sourcing recommendation committee portfolios. Collaborates with Finance and GSM leadership to validate financial results. 
  • Develops new capabilities in process designs, supporting technologies, policies, and best practices.  Refines and leverages standard and innovative approaches, tools, methodologies, and industry specific content to support strategy development and continuous improvement.
  • Defines and leads the enterprise procurement data and analytics strategy, establishing a scalable operating framework encompassing data sourcing, capture, architecture (e.g., data lake), governance, and data quality standards.
  • Owns the procurement analytics and data visualization ecosystem, setting the vision and governing the operating model to deliver actionable insights, enable decision-making, and drive measurable business value across the enterprise.
  • Partners with IT, Enterprise Business Services (EBS), Finance, and GSM leadership to modernize and continuously enhance data, analytics, and reporting capabilities, advancing digital transformation and innovation priorities.
  • Leads the global procurement technology and AI portfolio, driving prioritization, investment alignment, and program execution to support enterprise objectives and maximize return on technology investments.
  • Champions the development and scaling of Procurement and Source-to-Pay AI capabilities, embedding advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights into core processes in partnership with global process owners and cross-functional stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or Data Science.                                                                               
  • CPA and/or MBA in Finance or Business Management a plus.  
  • 15+ years’ experience working for a Fortune 500 or business consulting firm with procurement, value creation, cost analysis, source to pay process, procurement technologies, data and analytics
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to develop and lead strategy, enabling and deploying strategic initiatives.
  • Program Management: Experience leading project teams through all phases, ensuring disciplined process practices.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong background in sourcing, procurement, payable processes, and source to pay transformational business change management, and shared services development within large multinational companies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SAP ERP, Ariba, Coupa, or other procurement systems, along with digitalization design through deployment.  Business design experience with automation, workflow, machine learning, and AI.
  • Analytical & Research Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, industry/market analysis, and in-depth company research.  Familiarity with spend analytics and project platforms like GEP Smart or SpendHQ

Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $158,000.00  to $273,000.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
