Description
The Manager role is responsible for contributing to various Indirect Procurement objectives to realize maximum benefit to the business with optimized supply solutions across cost, quality, service, and risk consideration to support ELC supply chain strategy execution.
The Manager will play an integral role in developing the Category Spend Strategies and stratifying the Vendor base to right size and rationalize across the category and company. Additionally, this role will have a priority in integrating into broader company portfolio strategic sourcing initiatives to leverage global footprint of the category spend. The Manager will work with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams across Brands and/or Regions on spend management initiatives, assisting internal stakeholders in vendor selection, cost negotiations and contract execution.
The Manager will implement category-specific strategies, drive strategic sourcing activities, and build supplier relationship management programs for various categories of indirect spend including Transportation, Distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment. . Additionally, the Manager will work directly on the identification, tracking and management of savings/value across regions or globally. Additionally, this individual will manage preferred suppliers’ portfolios, shaping and implementing supplier relationship management programs, and ensuring savings realization. The Manager will provide leadership from a procurement perspective and influence business partners to consider new and creative sourcing strategies. The manager will work with the global category leads for Logistics and Distribution to ensure alignment from a holistic standpoint to support the global and regional needs.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated professional, with demonstrated successful experience leading negotiations and engaging with senior management. The ideal candidate must develop broad influence through a robust set of internal/external relationships across the organization; promotes win-win outcomes within, among and across teams, using the diverse perspectives of others to achieve results. The candidate will have the ability to influence customers and/or organizational leadership through effective listening and communication to accomplish operational objectives.
•Demonstrate a depth of understanding in Logistics services (e.g. 3PL, Freight Forwarders, OTR, LTL, FTL, Parcel Air Freight, Ocean, Inbound/Outbound, e-commerce fulfillment services, Omnichannel, etc.) and Warehousing/Distribution
•Skilled in Logistics and Distribution contracting terminology and establishing robust frameworks
•Analytical & strong presentation skills, including intermediate use of Excel and Powerpoint
•Proficient in ERP technology, preferably SAP ECC, SAP SRM, and Ariba Sourcing and Contracts
•Experienced as Procurement lead on major Logistics and Distribution projects across a region or multiple countries
•Demonstrated change leadership, successfully influencing global stakeholders at all levels
•Analyze category spend and it drivers by analyzing internal profiling, economic factors and costs to provide visibility of key drivers and prioritize.
•Eager to embrace and support change, ability to manage in an ambiguous environment, consistently works against the right priorities
•Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, and in multicultural settings
•Manage suppliers
•Setting and measuring KPIs and establish meetings with stakeholders to keep improving results with suppliers
•Understand Business needs
•Extract short/mid/long term business requirements by communication with key stakeholders (Goals, Trends, e.g.) to guarantee that the strategy is aligned with the business
Qualifications
•Bachelor/University Degree or Equivalent with further education preferred in Business, Procurement and or Supply Chain. Engineering or technical background is advantageous
•Professional certification in supply management or supply chain is desirable, e.g. from CIPS or Procurement Qualification may be an advantage
•Microsoft Office, SAP Suite Applications
•Professional Procurement Certification preferred (CPSM)
•4+ years of Supply Management experience including either Transportation, Logistics, DC fulfilment
•Procurement or Supply Chain experience
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $140,000.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
