Role Purpose 

The Senior Manager, Technology Procurement partners with Technology, Finance, Legal, and Technology Security stakeholders to support and execute sourcing and commercial strategies across Technology categories, with a primary focus on SaaS, cloudbased software, and subscription services. 

The role contributes to value creation through strong commercial execution, stakeholder partnership, and disciplined governance, while supporting complex and confidential initiatives aligned to global technology priorities. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

Technology & SaaS Category Support 

  • Partner with Procurement and Technology leadership to support the development and execution of category strategies across SaaS, enterprise software, and cloudbased solutions. 
  • Manage sourcing activity related to subscriptionbased commercial models, including renewals, licensing structures, and consumptionbased pricing. 
  • Identify commercial optimisation opportunities through spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, and portfolio review. 

Commercial & Contract Execution 

  • Execute and support complex SaaS and software negotiations in line with agreed category strategies and approval frameworks. 
    • Partner with Legal, Security, and Privacy teams to ensure contracts address data protection, cyber risk, and compliance requirements. 
    • Support supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, issue resolution, and contract lifecycle management. 
      Stakeholder Partnership 
    • Act as a commercial partner to IT, Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, and Finance stakeholders. 
    • Provide datadriven insights and recommendations to support technology investment and sourcing decisions. 
    • Support alignment between sourcing activity and agreed technology roadmaps and transformation initiatives. 
      Governance, Risk & Confidentiality 
    • Execute sourcing activity in compliance with procurement policy, financial controls, and technology risk standards. 
    • Support governance processes, approvals, and audit documentation. 
    • Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. 
      People & Capability Contribution 
    • Provide guidance and daytoday support to junior team members and matrixed contributors. 
    • Share knowledge and best practices related to SaaS commercial models and technology sourcing. 
    • Contribute to broader Technology Procurement capabilitybuilding initiatives. 


Decision Making & Accountability 

  • Exercises sound judgement within defined category strategies and approval frameworks. 
  • Accountable for quality, timeliness, and commercial rigor of assigned sourcing initiatives. 
  • Escalates material risks and issues appropriately while operating with a high degree of professionalism and independence. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements & Qualifications

 

Minimum Education Level:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or related field

MBA or equivalent preferred 

Minimum Years of Experience: 

  • 6–10 years of progressive procurement or commercial experience 

Required Experience: 

  • Demonstrated experience sourcing SaaS, enterprise software, and/or cloudbased solutions 
  • Experience supporting complex, multiregion technology negotiations 
  • Experience operating within large, matrixed, global organisations preferred 

Required Language Proficiency: 

  • English 

Licenses or Certifications: 

  • None required 

 

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong understanding of SaaS and subscriptionbased commercial models 
  • Solid negotiation and contract review capability 
  • Financial and analytical acumen, including spend and TCO analysis 
  • Clear, professional communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential matters 
  • Familiarity with procurement and contract management systems (e.g., SAP Ariba) 

 

Additional Job Specifications 

Working Conditions: 4 days a week in our Long Island City office

 Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $164,000.00Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
