Description
Responsible for supporting the development of new skincare products and improvements to existing formulations. Executes laboratory workstreams for projects of moderate complexity, generating accurate data and supporting timely product delivery. Works under guidance while building foundational expertise in formulation science and product development.
- Executes formulation development and testing activities for assigned projects with increasing independence
- Supports end-to-end development lifecycle from prototype through first production under guidance
- Generates, analyzes, and documents experimental data to inform formulation decisions
- Collaborates across R&D, QA, Manufacturing, and Product Development to support project execution
- Begins identifying technical risks and opportunities; escalates with proposed solutions
- Builds foundational expertise in raw materials, formulation principles, and product performance
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- BS degree in relevant scientific field, chemistry preferred
- Required knowledge of Word and Excel. Email (Outlook preferred). Knowledge of R&D System preferred (but not required).
- Ability to work in the lab and manufacturing environments. Standing at lab bench, wearing required PPE, comfortable working around equipment including mixers, homogenizers, hot water baths, etc., and cosmetic raw materials.
- The formulator should be able to evaluate skin care products on hand & face.
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $93,250.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
