Description
The Technician I Preweigh is responsible for weighing chemicals and carrying out warehouse tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient supply to the compounding area. They must adhere to safety protocols while handling materials and utilize precision equipment to guarantee accurate measurements. Additionally, the Technician collaborates closely with other team members and departments to maintain inventory levels and support production schedules.
- Weigh all chemicals in pre-weigh area.
- Returns all unused chemicals using Pre-weigh Returns station.
- Must be able to work in Preweigh room & Warehouse
- Locates all common raws using Pre-weigh Locator system.
- Assembles all weighed chemicals for jobs using the assembly computer system and radio frequency controllers.
- Prints container labels for chemicals using Pre-weigh Receiving station.
- Checks for accuracy of assembly using Pre-weigh system and brings all jobs to correct station using Shop Floor report.
- Safely operates automated material handling equipment (transporter, hi-lo, and forklift) to move chemicals.
- Performs other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications
- Must demonstrate completion of classroom material handling equipment training.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must possess current valid in-house material handling license.
- Heavy physical effort required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to understand, comply with, and communicate safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with assistance of a calculator.
- Knowledge of metric weights and measures.
- Must be able to work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self and others.
- Must be able to work a flexible work week on all shifts.
- Must have and maintain a good attendance and lateness record.

Pay Range:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 to $29.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
