Position summary : Context: IT organization in ELC EMEA is complex and impacts all areas (Corporate / Retail / Online) across 17 Affiliates and production / distribution sites located in 3 countries. It requires strong Procurement expertise with a category management approach to ensure the business secures best value but most importantly minimizes risk and maximizes opportunities. This role is a 8 months temporary contract and will manage, with the support of the Category Executive Director, the development of the category priorities concerning predominantly IT sub-categories Manager will identify and partner with key stakeholder groups: Regional Office, EMEA Stakeholders with a strong support to IT function, IP Hubs / Affiliates, Finance, Legal and any relevant COE (Center of Excellence) partner. Synergies with the UK&I Region will be also assessed, to identify pan-euro opportunities when relevant. The designated categories / sub-categories are critical drivers to support Estée Lauder Companies growth within EMEA Region.
Responsibilities for the role:Development of robust regional category strategies, in close collaboration with IP Affiliates, IP global and stakeholders, the increase of spend under IP management for each of the sub-categories in scope (including robust spend and needs analysis).Contribute to develop the pipeline of sourcing initiatives and opportunities for subcategories regionally and via Affiliates, according to the overall Category strategy and priorities, defined by the IP Category Executive Director.Tracking of key Cost & Cash Targets: proactively managing throughout the year to ensure the achievement of the minimum target of 3% hard saving and cash targets, including payment terms of minimum 90 days net (when relevant) and any other value creation proposal. Delivery in IT scope might be through a mix of OPEX and CAPEX.Managing and delivering those sourcing opportunities once aligned on approach with the Category Executive Director.Responsibility to manage an intern and contribute to their professional growth and performance within ELC.Manage supplier relationships (SRM), for strategic relationships in collaboration with key stakeholders; this includes conducting bi-annual business reviews and evaluating opportunities & business satisfaction, in order to develop further the category.Drive the agenda on Sustainability, Innovation, and Supplier Inclusion & Diversity principals and guidelines, in respect to the responsible sub-categoriesSubject matter expert (SME): Develop expertise in the categories in scope, leveraging external sources, understanding the market, ELC competition and industry best practice. Support the development, implementation and maintenance of procurement standards (SRM etc), processes, tools (ELC Marketplace, VCD, Ariba) and policies for both the EMEA region and on an affiliate level.
Manage addressable Category spend of $50M across EMEA which consists of centralized projects and Affiliate spend20% Category Strategy developmentSupport the IP Executive Director in the development of category strategic thinking.Support the IP Executive Director in the development of regional category strategies that address current / future needs together with a cross-functional team : key stakeholders, IP Affiliates, IP Global and any other relevant Corporate partnersDrive IT sub-categories opportunities across EMEA at Regional Office and Affiliate levels but also link with counterparts in other regions to share and benefit from best practices learning. Synergies will be also explored with the UKI Region (Spend= $14M)Drive key supplier relationship management (SRM), supplier development/integration in EMEA (with a key focus on Global vendors)Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders (IT/VMO and Corporate functions) to ensure early involvement in strategic ideas and to anticipate future requirements and plans.Apply Sustainability, Innovation and Supplier I&D principals and guidelines.
40% - Strategy implementation & execution and New Sourcing Activities.Execution of pipeline or identification of new projects sourcing projects as aligned with stakeholders ensuring business sponsorshipRegional requirements sourcing, lead and management of RFX activityParticipate in globally led sourcing activity on behalf of the Region. This implies a detailed understanding of spend / requirements / stakeholders EMEA mapping.Maintain and improve the preferred vendor list with a key focus to manage/reduce the tail of the supplier baseRobust implementation plan, contract development and deployment ensuring visibility of final agreement for stakeholder adoption and roll out.Ensure the ELCMarketplace content and all necessary information updates allowing perfect and smooth transactional process
20% SRMSRM model alignment with IP Executive Director in respect to target suppliers, degree of SRM applied and cadence.Continuous review of service delivery to have a positive impact on the quality and the improvement of the performances as well as to seek further value creations and cost optimizationsKey focus on business continuity, due diligence and market intelligence and trends. Ensuring supplier evolution and alternatives are assessed in collaboration with the business.Continuous monitoring and improvement of the existing Rate Cards (price grids) / panel of preferred vendor listEnsure the implementation of contractual agreements (MSA /SOW) amendments and adoption by stakeholder groups including Affiliates where applicable.
15% Team ManagementManagement of 1 intern, ensuring relevant support, knowledge sharing, coaching and guidance (when feasible)Set PDP goals in line with department targets. Ensuring constant dialog to feedback on successes and areas of development with support of IP Executive Director.
5% Cross functional activity / individualIntroduce and\or contribute to cross-functional projects (at Global, Regional Office and Affiliate levels).Introduce and\or participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procurement performances.Ensure the management of internal dashboards (KPI, savings etc) as required and identify the ‘upside’ opportunity and potential risk and blocking pointsWhere required, manage ad-hoc projects as agreed with Director in cases of overcapacity/ risk elsewhere in the Indirect Procurement DepartmentActively participate in training and continual professional development. Ensuring all mandatory trainings are completed.
Requirements : Procurement experience, ideally in Indirect Procurement particularly experience in IT categories (software; hardware; services & network), IT contracting and terminology.Procurement skills are a prerequisite for this role, strong experience and expertise in Category Management, Negotiation, Competitive Bidding, Cost Modelling, Benchmarking /Should Cost/ TCO, Contractual Agreements and Supplier Relationship ManagementProven management experience of buyer / trainee resourcesExcellent collaboration, team ethic and ability to coordinate in a matrix team environment with Regional stakeholders & peers, Affiliates, Global and other RegionsStrategic thinking. This role contributes and supports the Category Director in the development and execution of the Regional category strategy for the designated categories / sub-categories setStrong stakeholder relationship management capability, including proficient communication and presentation skills. This role will manage initiatives at Regional and Affiliate level and will therefore engage with stakeholders in Affiliate Procurement and across the organization.Strong project management skills: flexibility and capacity to adapt to changing project circumstances.
