Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Legal Privacy Manager to join our EMEA Privacy Team. The Legal Privacy Manager will support the Head of Privacy EMEA in driving privacy and digital compliance across the EMEA region. The candidate should be a legal professional with at least three years of experience (preferably in law firms) with a strong knowledge of data protection (a CIPP-E/ CIPM certification is a plus). The candidate will demonstrate strong attention to details, excellent legal analysis, drafting skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
What You Will Do:
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of privacy policies, programs, and processes across the EMEA region and operationalize them across all lines of business.
- Partner with business owners, including e.g.: HR, IT, Indirect Procurement, Marketing and Analytics, Online, Retail operations, etc. to advise on data privacy compliance.
- Distill complex data privacy requirements into clear, easy to understand recommendations to the business.
- Help with reporting metrics on the status of the EMEA data privacy program on a regular basis.
- Coordinate all the work streams from a project management perspective to deliver data privacy compliance objectives and meet deadlines, in alignment with other EMEA key strategic initiatives.
- Manage and supervise personal data inventories as well data subject requests and inquiries and contribute to/deliver privacy trainings as needed at regional and local level.
- Support and coordinate the setup, implementation and deployment of privacy technology tools in EMEA with all business streams, to collect and consolidate reported data and analyze information to detect potential privacy issues and gaps.
- Support omni-channel projects from a privacy and regulatory (consumer and digital-related) compliance perspective.
- Support EMEA business stakeholders and Legal team in drafting and updating FAQs and Terms and Conditions of loyalty programs, gift cards and similar consumer-centric initiatives.
- Draft, negotiate and review agreements including data privacy agreements with third party vendors for Indirect Procurement matters
Qualifications
- You have at least 3 years of experience, preferably in law firms.
- Privacy legislation
- Tech-savvy (CRM and IT affinity are a plus)
- CIPP-E/CIPM Licenses/Certifications are a plus
- Project Management
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a strong work ethic
- Proactive, able to work independently and fully deliver on commitments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French or other EU languages is a plus
- Consumer Law and EU Digital-related legislation are a plus
