Operational Demand Planner

Summary: We are looking for a Regional Operational demand Planner for the La Mer brand EMEA region to cover a maternity on a period of 5 months. 

Detailed Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in generating the 3-18 month rolling demand plan for La Mer brand and for a group of markets within the EMEA region. Gradual progression of scope and responsibilities to be pre-defined by regional demand Planning lead/Operational demand planner, and communicated to demand planner via regular check-points. 
  • Facilitate with the support and coaching of management the regional demand consensus cycle: bring a complete view of basic and new demand, drive consensus on the 18-month plan, highlight and resolve gaps with related Finance/Brand plans.
  • Assist the Regional demand Planning lead/Operational demand planner in collaborating with global and regional team to build new product launch forecast based on aligned assumptions, drive reviews before launch and adjust as required after launch.
  • Collaborate with the supply planning organization to proactively communicate demand changes and work service and inventory impacts.
  • Support the Regional Demand Planning Lead/Operational demand Planner in the IBP process, execute actions from the regional IBP output and shape demand accordingly to supply commit.
  • Assist in generating reports and presentations related to demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Work in collaboration with Statistical team to drive an exception-based management process.
  • Collaborate regional brand team to identify and capture relevant sales drivers into the demand plan.
  • Analyze the Demand Accuracy KPIs, drive improvement action and accountability.

 

Requirements:

 

•          Experience in Supply Chain planning

•          Familiarity with signal-driven forecast

•          Ability to perform scenario planning is preferred

•          KPI analysis

•          Knowledge of the S&OP / IBP process

•          Effective collaboration and communication skills, ability to defend your point of views, work confidently with various levels of the organization and ability to balance interests and biases from different stakeholders.

•          Strong organizational skills with the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously.

•          Familiarity with ERP / Planning systems (e.g. SAP APO)

•          Familiarity of Business Reporting systems (e.g. Qlikview, SAP BI, Tableau)

•          Strong analytical skills: must feel comfortable working with multiple sources of data and information to identify relevant insights and problem solve.

•          Effective collaboration skills in multi-cultural/ international environment

 

Description

Allocation, Replenishment & Order Execution

  • Develop and assess allocation strategies and order execution required to achieve store operational sales targets for all sellable and non⁃sellable product
  • Monitor all store inventory position in relation to sales trends, including key selling periods like Holiday
  • Support exceptional planning to support target WOS
  • Forecast and replenish key hero products in alignment with penetration targets
  • Maintain assortment plans and routine replenishment for employee stores
  • Develop and execute assortment and allocation strategies to support sales targets and visual merchandising requirements for Beautihaul sampling program
  • Develop brand and category assortment plans for new store launch orders
  • Partner with marketing to support promotional plans with timely order execution

 

Communication

  • Provide leadership with visibility and status updates on all strategic initiatives
  • Drive timely and effective communication
  • Provide routine communication to leadership of sales results and inventory opportunities/risks
  • Provide projections to other functional teams such as supply and demand planning

 

Operations

  • Work with the DCs to project workflow planning and timely execution of orders
  • Coordinate movement of exceptional collections from FSS to CCS (for example MAC licensing product)
  • Support annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts
  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems and processes to optimize results and partner with GIS to execute

 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Highlight opportunities for sales penetration and partner with supply chain for release of excess inventory
  • Develop and maintain routine end of lifecycle management for store and DC inventory

 

Continuous Process & System Improvements

  • Drive internal system and process improvements to drive the business better
  • Work with the business to ensure history is cleansed and the correct data are captured

 

Documentation

  • Responsible for updating training documents to ensure knowledge transfer Overall, take part and initiate strategic projects to improve any of the areas above

Qualifications

  • Self⁃starter and ability to work independently
  • Fast learner
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ability to quickly re⁃prioritize while still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and review large amount of data in Excel or MS Access
  • Collaboration across functional and regional teams
  • Ability to succinctly summarize analysis results and recommend solutions for optimizing systems and processes
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of allocation and replenishment systems and parameters (safety stock, lead time,review cycle, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of inventory models and metrics
  • Deep understanding of retail planning and inventory management needs
  • Prior experience using forecasting and replenishment systems such as JDA, JustEnough, SAP, I2
  • Understanding of retail store operations and planning processes
  • Minimum Education level: College degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5+
  • % Travel Time: 5%
