The Associate, PR & Influencer, is responsible for working alongside the Director of Communications & PR to build and drive the implementation of the PR strategy and influencer programs, while tapping into trends for Tom Ford Beauty & Balmain Beauty North America to drive brand growth, relevance, and desirability immediately and over time. This person will also interface with beauty/lifestyle media and support all press events and product launches. They will be the day-to-day contact for relevant agencies for all campaign execution. Regular measurement/reporting and tracking of key KPIs will be required to monitor progress vs. strategy and benchmark.
The Associate Manager will also partner with Global and cross-functional North America teams to align brand priorities, driving creative needs and 360 excellence in execution. This role serves as an anchor to the team and provides essential support to all facets of programming/operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Influencer & Talent Relations
- Utilize independent judgement to identify relevant and like-minded beauty influencers, tastemakers, celebrity makeup artists, fashion stylists, and industry trendsetters who align with the ethos of TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY brands. Ensure selections are in line with the specific objectives and creative inspiration of each campaign.
- Participates in the planning and drives the execution of all North America seeding mailers including influencer list approval for new product/year-round gifting mailers.
- Regularly track and issue monthly reporting for Global and NOAM, using analytical skills to provide a data-driven approach to influencer marketing with EMV as a key business driver.
Media & Industry Relations
- Develop and execute proactive media pitches using independent judgement, and correspond with media on a reactive basis to maximize opportunities for both TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY.
- Regularly track and issue monthly reporting for Global and NOAM, utilizing analytical skills to provide a data-driven approach to media relations with MIV as a key business driver. Makes recommendations based on the analytics.
Event Planning & Execution
- Drive ideation, planning and execution of Noth America product launch events and press dinners. These events should drive EMV while always remaining aligned in the overall Brand aesthetic and story
- Seamlessly partner with Global TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY teams on Global Destination Events and Brand tentpole occasions (e.g. Fashion Week) to create brand moments across categories to drive outsize EMV and buzz
Budget & Administrative
- Ownership of all internal PR finance operations, including but not limited to timely and correct documentation for ELC Finance, Buying Center and relevant teams
- Manage all POs, invoicing and new vendor set up autonomously
- Manage product closet/samples including placing all necessary product and collateral orders to ensure timely approval and delivery
- Ensure timely creative asset receipt/delivery (e.g. coordinating with Global on press material development, downloading hi-res images etc.) for campaigns and product send outs
- Serve as the point person for PR agencies, including to respond to press enquiries and issues.

Qualifications
- Position requires 3-4 years of experience in beauty public relations, influencer marketing, social media, and/or PR/influencer agency experience in addition to a college degree.
- Experience and expertise in building influencer relations for brands
- Experience and success in pitching Long Lead and Short Lead media and has existing editorial contacts in the beauty space and beyond
- Knowledge of influencer and social trend landscape, passion for pop culture and beauty
- Strong understanding of content creation, social trends, performance drivers, and how to craft an influencer brief
- Proficiency in all social platforms established and emerging, with a special focus on TikTok and Instagram
- Proficiency in influencer management and reporting tools (i.e. Launch Metrics, Lefty, Tribe Dynamics)
- Strong communication, organization and relationship management skills, ability to independently set priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally
- Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity and strategic vision
