Description

The M&A Analyst will support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic acquisitions and investment opportunities. This role combines rigorous financial and strategic analysis with strong storytelling capabilities, helping translate complex concepts into clear, digestible information for senior leadership. The Analyst will play an integral role across the end-to-end transaction lifecycle—from idea generation through execution support.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Sourcing & Market Intelligence
•    Conduct proactive research to identify potential acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
•    Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging growth areas
•    Maintain and update target pipelines and screening databases

Strategic & Financial Evaluation
•    Initiate in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess potential opportunities
•    Develop detailed financial models including business plan development, valuation analyses, scenario modeling, and return assessments
•    Support the evaluation of strategic fit, competitive positioning, risk factors, and integration considerations

Executive Communication & Presentation Development
•    Draft high-quality presentations and briefing materials for Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders
•    Synthesize complex analyses into clear, concise insights and recommendations
•    Support preparation for Board-level discussions when applicable
•    Clearly and confidently present analyses and strategic perspectives to key decision makers

Transaction Execution Support
•    Assist in due diligence processes, including data analysis and coordination with cross-functional partners
•    Support development of transaction materials, data rooms, and internal documentations
•    Maintain exceptional organization across workstreams, ensuring materials, analyses, and communications are readily accessible
•    Track key milestones and deliverables throughout the transaction lifecycle
•    Provide ad-hoc analytical and operational support as needed during execution

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field desirable
•    Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to build clear, defensible business cases
•    Attention to detail and ability to drive high-quality work products independently. 
•    Experience conducting consumer, market, and competitive research and translating findings into actionable insights
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging senior-level leaders and presenting complex analyses clearly
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment while managing multiple priorities
•    Minimum of 1-3 years of experience, ideally in private equity, investment banking, or corporate strategy and/or exposure to       consumer goods, retail, or branded products strongly preferred

 Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $63,300.00 to $92,250.00Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
