POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Retail Development & Operations – MAC & Bobbi Brown supports the development and execution of global retail business evolution across both brands. This role focuses on advancing the development of our commercial retail operating model, global distribution enablement and omni-channel integration to ensure cohesive and future-ready retail ecosystems globally.
In partnership with the Director, Commercial Operations & Global Retail Execution and the Executive Director, Global Retail, this role contributes to building scalable commercial retail frameworks, project management processes & execution tools that align with commercial priorities, retail performance targets, and brand execution standards.
This role also serves as a project management lead for global retail project proposals, ensuring structured intake, communication, documentation, and cross-functional alignment as retail initiatives move from concept through evaluation, planning and implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Retail Formats & Business Model Development
- Support development and execution of global retail architecture, store formats and distribution typologies across MAC & Bobbi Brown
- Contribute to the development of 360° retail business model frameworks, including KPI definitions, cost & investment inputs, services & commercial programs integration, assortment density, and space allocation ranges
- Align retail format development with established productivity benchmarks and capital guardrails
- Partner with Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Finance, and Region teams to establish commercial project management and format intake processes
- Enable integration of retail formats within each market’s broader commercial ecosystem plans to drive globally consistent, locally relevant operations
- Support development of global commercial distribution frameworks across DTC/Wholesale channels, including Department Stores, SMC, and other wholesale partners
Retail Project Intake Management
- Serve as a project management lead for global retail project proposals across both brands
- Own communication flow, follow-ups, and tracking of project milestones
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and maintain structured documentation to keeps stakeholders aligned and deliverables on time, on budget and on value.
- Curate and organize project materials, briefs, and evaluation documents
- Maintain clear visibility of proposal status, risks, and dependencies
- Partner with Director to ensure project alignment with broader commercial execution, established retail models and performance standards
- Provide structured updates and summaries to support strategic decision-making for the Executive Director
Commercial Distribution & Market Support
- Support development of global commercial distribution frameworks across DTC/Wholesale channels, including Department Stores, SMC, and other wholesale partners
- Model optimal channel mix and market-level distribution priorities
- Conduct analysis supporting distribution rationalization scenarios
- Support door strategy modeling and channel penetration assessments
- Provide structured analytical inputs to support margin mix optimization and commercial prioritization
- Partner with Director to align distribution modeling with measurable execution realities
- Partner with the Assistant Manager, Commercial Performance & Portfolio Analytics to incorporate centralized data, reporting and insights into retail model development
Retail Playbooks & Toolkit Orchestration
- Develop and refine global retail playbooks and execution toolkits across MAC & Bobbi Brown
- Ensure structured rollouts of frameworks supporting DTC/Wholesale channels
- Align toolkits with VM choreography, in-store display standards, and commercial priorities
- Partner with regions to support clarity and practical application of retail standards
- Continuously enhance playbooks based on field feedback and commercial results
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES con't:
Global Retail Program & Commercial Activation
- Develop standardized frameworks aligned to global commercial calendar priorities for eventing, services, and key commercial activation programs as developed.
- Support the development of scalable retail enablement programs across commercial, branded products and customer experience pillars such as GWPs, Kits, Promotions and Gifting.
- Structure activation toolkits to support recruitment, conversion, and retention objectives
- Ensure eventing programs are scalable globally while enabling localized execution flexibility
- Collaborate with Artistry and Retail leadership to integrate commercial objectives into Artistry & Education programs, unlocking synergies across people performance and productivity in our global retail formats.
- Partner with Marketing and Regional teams to align activation timing, messaging, and retail execution
- Leverage corporate and enterprise operations partnerships across procurement, finance, technology, supply chain and logistics as needed to enable global program scale and cost targets
- Surface field insights and execution challenges to Director for performance integration and retail implementation refinement
- Support retailer engagement initiatives aligned to activation priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7–10+ years in retail business development, operations, business planning, or structured PMO environments
- Experience in retail execution, commercial modeling, brand planning, or structured project management in a consumer-facing team or function
- Exception project management experience supporting cross-functional initiatives through disciplined organization, exception communication and structured processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and develop actionable frameworks, presentations and tools
- Understanding of DTC and multi-channel retail ecosystems
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with disciplined follow-through
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
EDUCATION:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field
- MBA preferred

Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $139,600.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
