Description

The Senior Manager, Retail Marketing will support the development and execution of customer marketing strategies designed to drive sales, market share, and profitability across retail and wholesale channels, both in-store and online. This role will partner closely with Account Management, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to deliver customer-focused programs and activations that align with brand priorities and support key retailer objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Retail Marketing Fundamentals – Support the development and execution of retail marketing strategies across assortment, pricing, promotion, merchandising, and shopper experience to drive brand growth, customer engagement, and profitable sales across retail channels.
  • Customer Marketing Strategy – Develop customer-specific marketing plans and activation strategies that align with M·A·C North America brand priorities while leveraging unique retailer capabilities to drive growth and differentiation.
  • Retail Activation & Launch Execution – Support the execution of retail marketing programs and best-in-class new product launches across retail partners, including in-store promotions, point-of-sale displays, merchandising initiatives, retailer events, trade shows, sampling programs, and retailer-exclusive/early lead strategies. Deliver impactful 360° activation that maximizes consumer engagement, conversion, and both M·A·C and retailer objectives.
  • Visual Merchandising – Collaborates cross-functionally to lead visual merchandising updates across all retail partners, ensuring consistency with brand visual identity while tailoring executions to each retailer’s unique environment and assortment strategy. Owns the process end-to-end, including creative briefing, cross-functional project management, account and retailer partnership, and flawless in-store execution.
  • Retail & Category Insights – Analyze marketplace trends, competitive activity, customer data, and brand performance to generate actionable insights and recommendations that inform marketing and business strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Sampling, GWPs, & Promotions – Leads and supports the strategic planning and execution of sampling programs, gift-with-purchase initiatives, and promotional activations across key retail partners. Collaborates cross-functionally to maximize impact during key retailer moments, while overseeing the development and execution of in-store signage, event collateral, and supporting retail marketing tools.
  • Budget & Planning Management – Partner with Key Account teams to manage budgets, optimize investments, and support efficient planning and execution across customer programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Build strong partnerships across sales, marketing, ecommerce, and external retailer teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of customer initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence – Drive strong project management, communication, and executional rigor across multiple initiatives while managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder alignment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of experience in brand marketing, retail marketing, customer marketing, or account management, preferably within beauty or consumer goods.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful customer marketing programs and retail activations.
  • Strong understanding of retailer and channel strategies across brick-and-mortar and ecommerce environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.

Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,750.00  to $143,800.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
