POSITION OVERVIEW
Design and oversee branded experiential retail design and 360 Consumer Experience Formats. This position collaborates closely with Store Design, VM, Consumer Engagement, Education and Regional teams to conceptualize innovative, best in class in-store/at-outpost VM, retail experiences and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Propose and develop experiential retail design in line with Global Brand vision for all Store formats, Beauty Windows, Outposts, Pop-ups and Retail installations.
- Create evergreen & bespoke experiences and services for in-store/at-outpost retail events and consumer engagement touchpoints.
- Oversee consumer journey for new and existing store formats, events and retail outposts
- Concept HTSM gifting experience for in-store/at-outpost
- Identify applications of new digital technologies to enhance consumer experience
- Ensure customer experience continuity across channels and formats
- Guidelines for all scales of Beauty Retail Events, offering both Evergreen & Bespoke designs for:

- At-counter/at-outpost retail events (Masterclasses, Launch Parties, VIP Celebrations)
- At-counter/at-outpost Consumer engagement touchpoints (ingredient discovery, giveaways, limited-time activations)
- Store openings
- Brand launches
- Aid VP and SVP Brand Image in ensuring Global Brand vision is upheld at consistent level of excellence while addressing regional parameters and concerns.
- Coordinate with visual merchandising, store design, marketing and PR to ensure cohesive brand design identity across experiential formats.
- Actively participate in meetings, substituting for Director when necessary, with decision making responsibilities.
- Manage high volume workload and prioritize project requirements effectively.
- Ensure clear communication, transfer of information and alignment with regional teams to maintain and build collaborative and efficient process.
- Work across Global Communications, Consumer Engagement and Education functions to conceptualize the most innovative and best in class service, consumer engagement and retail experience design that can be tailored for all formats.
- Help cascade event guidelines to key stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Looking for a creative individual who also has strategic and detailed thinking.
- Knowledge of design, lighting, sound, video, photography and social media.
- Position requires 5-7 years+ of design work experience, preferably in luxury retail.
- BS or BA in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design, Store Design and Visual Merchandising.

- Exceptional leadership skills
- Passionate about retail and in-store visual merchandising with a deep understanding of current luxury beauty/fashion/retail/design trends.
- At least 2 years of project management experience.
- Actively demonstrate excellence in design vision, execution, and taste level.
- Visualize concepts and ideas through vivid mood boards, sketches, 3d renderings, Photoshop comps, etc.
- Challenges standard practices and apply new and different ways of thinking as necessary.
- Creates and sustains environment of trust and collaboration.
- Actively builds relationships across disciplines and with external partners.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and design shifts.
- Ability to detail fixtures and display design in realistic and executable fashion.
- Knowledge of materials and methods of fabrication and installation of fixtures and construction.
- Vectorworks (or AutoCad) and photoshop proficient. 3-d skills essential.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to speak to creative vision and execution as well as tactical conversations across disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of retail trends and environments.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with the team.
- Must be able to follow projects from inception to completion.
- Must be able to execute several projects at once in a timely and efficient manner.
- An interest in the cosmetic industry, fashion trends, pop culture and new media is necessary.
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $99,400.00 to $163,800.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
