Description
As an integral part of the Strategy and Pricing team Strategic Pricing Analyst will support the Strategic Pricing Activity in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and to develop and implement key associated projects. She/he will also work closely with Finance, Marketing, Demand Planning teams in EMEA and Global Pricing team.
Responsibilities will include:
⁃ Driving regular strategic pricing processes (Annual Planning and New Product Launches): calendar, guidelines, analyses, and presentations, trainings and targeted support for the affiliates & regional brands. Support required for 17 brands across 22 markets and covering 4 beauty categories (Skincare, Makeup, Fragrances and Haircare)
⁃ Functioning as key resource to affiliate and regional teams in the evaluation of their pricing strategies and action plans
⁃ Working closely with regional or local resources to conduct various strategic pricing analyses and market deep dives related to pricing, including but not limited to competitive, financial, and strategic assessments by brand and category
⁃ Conducting price increase compliance analysis
⁃ Communicating with global, regional, and local pricing stakeholders on a regular basis
⁃ Working on constant improvement of Strategic pricing planning process and providing feedback to the Global Pricing team on potential improvements in the process, timeline and PriceLab
⁃ Participating in price elasticity studies in EMEA and/or deriving implications from the Global price elasticity studies for EMEA purposes
⁃ Managing a Pricing intern and providing necessary learning opportunities and support ⁃
Supporting VP Strategy and Corporate Initiatives with Pricing related initiatives (e.g. Price increase communication, Value Reframing strategies formalization) as well as Leadership team events organization (e.g.ELT offsite)
Qualifications
⁃ University or Business School Degree (M.Sc.) in Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant areas
⁃ 3+ years of experience within pricing, marketing, finance
Skills
⁃ Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills: advanced Excel & PowerPoint, ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across the organization (incl. senior management), excellent time management capabilities
⁃ Proactive, motivated self⁃starter with ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of autonomy, strong project management skills and highly detail oriented
⁃ Capacity to work in fast paced, international environment, with exposure to multiple markets, product categories and teams

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
To lead, mentor, and inspire the Beauty Advisors to achieve overall sales targets, Counter goals and to manage Airport business objectives through:
· Effectively tracking and monitoring monthly sales results by Terminal vs Target and previous year’s sales. – with Retailer’s monthly sales reports and qualitative feedback from the operation (rise alerts if needed)
· Total Stock Management, Fixture Fill levels and Visual merchandising standards, with the support of the Sales and Education Executive.
Ensure that brand guidelines are executed in store including visual merchandising elements, planograms, testers and visuals etc.
RESPONSABILITIES:
1. RETAIL SALES:
Review of retail targets:
· Retail targets aligned with Sales and Education Executive (SEE), cascaded to Beauty Advisors monthly (breakdown by door and POS Demo).
· Track Incentives and Spiffs for all stores – Ensure correct implementation on spiffs and incentives
· Book and Train Animation Demos according to brand focus and goal
· Lead the Animation Implementation and Campaign Distortions on counter ensuring implementation is to brand standards
· Support with the coordination of VIP visits and passes
· Management of GWPs, Samples, and TOAs ensuring proper usage and communication on counter
· Ensure SPO/promotional activities are active at counter, escalate to SEE as needed.
· Execute Marketing Calendars per semester along with branded SEE
· Competitor awareness: provide ad hoc Monthly reports and proactively highlight best practices/new launches/ animations. Provide additional information needed as per brand requests.
Analyze performance of business:
· Analyze business. Highlight areas of success and opportunities to SEEs and align on action plans. Provide guidance and timely feedback to Bas – with Retailer’s monthy sales reports providing feedback on team templates for reporting
· Conduct monthly Beauty Advisor meetings to review results, motivate team to drive and exceed targets as well as provide direction to the team.
Building Relationships:
· Build a close relationship and partnership with the Retail Partner and Airport Operations team to provide trends, insights, and critical business information so it can be cascaded to the Sales and Education Executive (SEE) and/or Area Sales and Operations Manager (ASOM). Previously define and clarify the communication flow with Retailer teams.
· Work closely with Staffing agencies/ Retail Partner to build relationships and ensure they provide the highest caliber of staff possible to have when needed.
· Be the number one recruiter for Talent within the Airport environment -foster, nurture, and create a pipeline of Talent to support any open positions or gaps on the retail team.
Plan to succeed:
· Implement monthly focus/ actions as outlined on Trade Marketing Calendar established by Sales and Education Executive and work closely with Education team to ensure alignment. Support the Beauty Advisor where required with retail event planning, and local incentives to ensure the overall goal is achieved.
· Review with Branded Sales and Education Executive and Branded ASOMs potential opportunities in the Terminal for incremental selling space, promotional opportunities, and business development.
· Monitor the competitive activities within the terminal to ascertain any opportunities to further drive the business or threats that could impede the existing business.
Stock management:
· Responsible for all Stock Management, Presentation Stock & Fixture Fill levels and adjustments depending on Rate of Sale/Trends/Current situations. Report Out of stocks. Have full awareness of stock levels in all terminals - offering solutions and highlighting any concerns to Branded Sales and Education Executive. Maintains full awareness of all NPL launches and counter dates, including POS and consumer facing launch elements. Review orders and deliveries to ensure they are expedited once received by the Retail Partner.
· Collate and report accurate monthly tester orders by terminal based on the demands of the business. / (+credit note tracker when special needs to open product)
· Responsible for arranging staffing, monitoring of sales vs targets, Visual Merchandising (in line with each Brand guidelines), training/coaching, implementation, and evaluation of business for all promotions.
· Partner and interact with the assigned Corporate Account Manager (CAM) role when needed.
2. MERCHANDISING:
Visual Merchandising:
· Ensure all locations within the airport are correctly merchandised, including effective use of testers / locators / displayers and overall consumer facings.
· Work in partnership with the corporate Field VM roles, helping to ensure all maintenance and VM updates are happening on a timely basis- and being reported through OTM.
· Always be well prepared for all newness, launch and hero distortion updates.
· Offer alternative solutions to overcome OOS situations and mix of business optimization.
· Partner with SEE/VM to provide recommendations on optimized use of the space based on current traffic.
· Confirm and ensure timely installation elements shipped to store/ highlight any technical issue (screens, lightboxes…)
3. TEAM MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT:
Recruitment:
· Support the Sales and Education Executive by screening/shortlisting candidates for vacancies for interview.
· Work closely with Sales and Education Executive to actively recruit POS Demo to ensure FTE optimization in accordance with the agreed POS Headcount per terminal in the airport.
Coach, motivate and Evaluate team’s performance:
· When in store, actively participate in selling to ensure all customers are captured and to lead by example for the team. Leverage sales experiences as part of coaching conversations with the teams in situ.
· Regularly review individual team’s strengths and areas for development. Set SMART objectives to manage their development and the business. Lead by example while in store and offer on the spot coaching and constructive feedback as well as praise and recognition when observed.
· Build relationship with Education Managers to ensure BA development plan is aligned with brands expectations.
· Adhere to brand dress code
Human Resources Management:
· Effectively manage initial Human Resources issues as directed by Retail Human Resources with guidance from the Sales and Education Executive.
ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCIAL
Sales Reports – according to retailer’s monthly sell-out reports
Staff Scheduling – provide feedback to retailer in order to optimize peak hours
