Description

The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking a Compounding Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a 13-month placement within the Compounding department at Whitman Laboratories, a site producing around one-fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.

This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement within the Compounding department.

As part of the team, you will work on projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, directly impacting production output and quality. The successful candidate will support the production team in meeting ambitious schedules and implementing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with R&D to resolve ongoing mass issues.
  • Conduct continuous improvement projects in the Compounding department to enhance product quality, processes, and batch cycle time.
  • Perform root cause analysis for compounding issues, including out-of-specification batches, and report findings through CAPA and deviation processes.
  • Support the Technical Support Group and Compounding with data collection, project activities, and reporting.
  • Participate in GMP behavioural based audits on our manufacturing systems to help maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Studying an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or related subject and be on track to achieving a 2:1 standard or higher. (A chemical engineering, cosmetic formulation or similar is preferred).
