Description

1. Manage the Financial Accounting & Reporting, Internal Controls & Compliance and Tax

2. Implement appropriate accounting practices and make continuous improvement to ensure both internal and external financial reporting is in compliance with U.S. GAAP, company financial policies as well as local statutory requirements.

3. Take charge of standardizing, documenting and executing financial policies, procedures and controls in accordance with corporate guidelines, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and compliance with local regulations.

 

Accountabilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  1. Timely completion of monthly closing process and prepare monthly management reporting package
  2. Perform, review and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  3. Manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: general ledger, inventory and accounts receivable through performing monthly and quarterly closing
  4. Manage with financial audit activities for external K-GAAP financial reports and internal U.S. GAAP financial reports

 

2. Controls

    1. Establish, develop and refine the local policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and global policies
    2. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and SOX assessments ensuring proper accounting controls exist in support of internal controls over financial reporting and SOX compliance.
    3. Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

 

3. Tax

  1. Manage corporate tax, VAT and other local tax reporting and filing.
  2. Work closely and proactively with corporate & regional tax team to manage tax-related risks.
  3. Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in financial, business finance, and accounting positions (CPA or equivalent is preferred)
    • Strong understanding and experience in multinational financial operations with understanding of US GAAP and K-GAAP statutory requirements.
    • Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to drive the effective implementation of procedures and policies to support operational business requirements across regional and organizational boundaries
    • Fluent in English speaking, listening and writing
