This role supports the Marketing Managers by managing assigned categories for MAC and BOBBI BROWN, with a focus on assortment, forecasting (for newness, ongoing, saleable, and non-saleable products), and excess management to maintain healthy stock levels.  It also involves coordinating with brand supply and event management to ensure stock is available on time for business growth. This role connects markets, Global teams, supply, and key functions to support product marketing, facilitate smooth transitions of the TRWW knowledge, and promote long-term sustained brand growth.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assortment management (Sellable & non-sellable) 55%

- Closely work with the distribution center (Lachen) to monitor stock inventory, track stocks situation (freshness, out of stocks) and communicate with the commercial team as necessary

- Oversee stock transition for each launch and ongoings, handle excess inventory in coordination with marketing, commercial team and business manager

- Assist in tracking the performance of product launches, including the impact of Kaizen/repromotion and cannibalization

- Update and maintain the product assortment matrix based on key changes, variance, discontinuation, Kaizen, COO, OCD

- Update monthly dashboard and inventory tracking report

- Follow up on product quality issues

- Manage the promotions reserve, ensuring timely ordering and usage of collaterals and reallocating quantities between regions

- Assist management on the door-by-door assortment request

- Assist updating assortment proposal based on the market trend, consumer needs and new channel (example. Inflight business for MAC)  

Freshness & Excess Management (EWP) (Sellable & non-sellable) 20%

- Identify the commercial, market need to rephase the excess

- Track inventory levels and work with supply chain and sales to manage excess or discontinued items

- Submit monthly excess usage plan within a timely manner and with accuracy to minimize the excess and to prevent the destruction, while protecting brand equity

- Attend to relevant calls and closely work with Distribution center (Lachen)

Forecast, Supply Coordination & Order Management: 20%

- Propose and get alignment from management on forecast rationale and proposal based on analysis for on-going & newness

- Attend to relevant calls and closely work with Distribution center (Lachen)

- Monthly review of top 20 SKUs of 12months forecast review with key stakeholders (commercial, business manager and management)

- Consolidate sales trends, marketing plans and historical data to build accurate SKU-level forecast for new launches and ongoing SKU (especially for hero SKUs)

- Attend relevant calls: 1) Bi-weekly inventory review (event & basic call) with supply team 2) Monthly China HP Status follow up and update 3) Phase out review and communicate with the rest of Travel Retail APAC team on the relevant impacted SKUs

- Assist in order and shipment issues to ensure the smooth delivery of both non-sellable and sellable items to regions and consumers

- Monitor order status, allocations with the team to ensure smooth execution

- Track shipment timeline and flag potential risk of shortages or delay/ COO

- Analyze and work with the key stakeholders, suggestions for TREX combination for ihub to plan and to execute

Improve Workflow & Process Efficiency: 5%

Evaluate the process of current reports and documents to identify ways to optimize and streamline the different tasks & calls, together with the Marketing Managers & Director. Example: NPL OCD Tracker Release, excess Review & Redeployment, freshness review, assortment master file

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the rolling 18-month product support calendar for the Region
  • Champion regional unique category & consumer insight to facilitate upstream product & concept development
  • Provides regular reporting to Management and Global/Regional teams

SKU, Assortment Management

1) Partners with global and regional teams to implement SKU management initiatives

2) Partners with key stakeholders (e.g. SDVM, Business manager) for the assortment working for each door 

3) Facilitates Line edits for the APAC region

Forecast: All newness (including LL), on-going into the top 20 of each region

1) Ensures the forecast guideline is implemented correctly in each market

2) Works directly with sub-regional managers and retailers on newness forecasting including salable and promotional items (non-sellable, GWP etc.)

Analysis and Reporting

1) Analyzes sell-in/through information, market feedback and competitor information on an ongoing basis with the Regional Team to identify regional needs and opportunities

2) Prepares regular updates to Management and Global teams on the business trends based on syndicated panels

3) Collects APAC market and consumer intelligence.
