Logistics Executive - APAC

Position Summary
The Logistics Executive APAC holds three key responsibility areas:
- Manage daily and weekly cycle of shipments from other regions into various destinations in the APAC network, including the Singapore Hub, the APAC Affiliates and all combinations of forms of transportation used in this network (ocean, air, truck): on time performance, resolve carrier and stakeholder escalations, manage carrier claims, serve as first point of contact for AFF inquiries and requests for action
- Prepare and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the logistics providers (Third Party Logistics (3PL) and other vendors (customs, ground services, expeditors, audit firms) and identify areas that require remedial action; this area includes the management of periodic freight audits (ensuring charged price is consistent with contracted service scope and pricing structure)
- Support the Senior Manager, APAC Transportation Process and Operations, in a wide variety of tasks, including: network efficiency and lead time analysis, Free Trade Agreements (FTA), global network projects, technology deployment, change management and education activities, data management, procurement sourcing programs
For the first two areas of responsibility, the Logistics Executive operates with a high degree of independence in relation to: running reports / dashboards, interpreting the KPIs, issue summary assessments of the performance, identifying the challenge areas that require action and communicating the relevant information to Regional partners (Regional Distribution, Planning) and Affiliate partners (AFF SC Leads, Warehouse leads and Logistics/Import teams).
For the third area, the Executive supports the Senior Manager, Transportation Process and Operations, APAC in all required areas including, but not limited: network changes / enhancements, establishment of new lanes and modes of transportation, coordinating with other regions to integrate network, FTA implementations and maintenance, resolution of major logistics challenges
Finally, this job scope requires the Executive to coordinate closely with Regional and AFF Distribution teams, including their corresponding operations teams and special projects team members.
Description
- Serve as point person for all inquiries and communications from the Affiliate Logistics/Import teams and relevant Regional functional teams (Distribution, Planning)
- Act as the “bridge” between the Global Logistics team and the AFF Logistics/Import teams for all matters related to day-to-day operations and E2E delivery of cargo (all modes)
- Manage all aspects of the operational KPIs, including tracking, identification of resolution areas / root cause / solution and preparation of KPI reporting for review with Global, Regional and AFF partners
- Lead shipment planning based on required cut-off date and updates order delivery dates in SAP
- Track shipment status and managesthe escalation of forwarders and/or carriers related issues
- Resolve shipping document discrepancies and manage claims on in transit loss/damage
- Provide real-time management for shipment delays and follow-up on urgent orders
- Act as the point of contact for Freight Audit companies, and manages claims and disputes with carriers, providing required information to Freight Audit companies as necessary
- Provide data analysis and performance analysis for monthly/quarterly operation review with freight forwarders and sharing with applicable AFF teams for futher review and feedback
- Lead implementation of any new mode/ forwarder/carrier in accordance with QA standards, Service Level Agreements, SOP’s and Terms and Conditions
- Support regional and global transportation sourcing events including validation of volumes and business requirements, carrier selection and saving tracking
- Support Regional and AFF Distribution teams in E2E transport/pick-pack/deliver solutions and projects that drive a lower cost to serve (CTS) and lower Days-to-Sell (DTS)
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor degree required
- 3-5 years of experience within supply chain; transportation planning and logistics, within region preferred
- Experience working with a transportation management system preferred
- Strong communications skills and ability to work in a fast paced, global consumer goods organization
- Experience working in SAP preferred, or other ERP system
- Proficiency in English required, with additional language skills applicable to the region
