Join our Team in Thessaloniki as a Counter Manager!
Reporting directly to the Sales Supervisor, the Counter Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of their assigned store and supervising all employees. They are accountable for the training and development of their team, driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and maximizing profitability through effective expense control. The Counter Manager is also expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with their retail partner, the Area Trainer and relevant head office support departments.

Description

1. Drive Store Sales Performance

  • Achieve sales targets through action plans and business analysis.
  • Lead and coach the team on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer experience.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including traffic, conversion rate, UPT, AST, and productivity.
  • Implement store-level social media and retail animation strategies.
  • Optimize store scheduling to drive sales and conversion.
  • Collaborate with mall operators for events and promotional opportunities.
  • Stay aware of competitive landscape and market trends.

2. Deliver 5-Star Customer Experience

  • Meet customer experience
  • Lead by example and coach the team on delivering outstanding service.
  • Spend time on the sales floor to observe and improve customer interaction.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.

3. Team Management and Talent Development

  • Set clear goals and expectations for each team member.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Hold regular team meetings and follow up on training needs.
  • Support career development and succession planning.
  • Oversee onboarding and induction of new hires.
  • Monitor team use of brand-provided tools and systems.

4. Retail Operations Excellence

  • Maintain visual merchandising and hygiene standards.
  • Optimize inventory management (e.g., FIFO, stock levels, ABC classification).
  • Ensure timely and accurate store orders.
  • Complete HR and operational documentation accurately and on time.
  • Effective time management between shopfloor and admin duties

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Makeup Artistry or Cosmetology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar retail or managerial role
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in English and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with using and managing social media platforms
  • Results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Experience in training and coaching team members and customers
  • Professional attitude with the flexibility to adapt to change
