TALENTS NEEDS SUMMARY:
The Marketing Talents at ELC holds primary responsibilities to be the “center of brand marketing” and support BGM/marketing leaders on overall brand strategic planning and execution to achieve brand goals.
To achieve responsibilities, it is also required to collaborate and provide insights to Brand team and affiliate teams to ensure unity and execution quality.
Role Overview
Le Labo Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive brand equity and sustainable revenue growth for assigned brands or categories. At Le Labo, marketing is not about aggressive selling—it is about honoring craft (slow perfumery), expressing our values, and building genuine human connection. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, retail partners, and external agencies to deliver meaningful experiences through product launches, brand activations, and communications that strengthen brand awareness, consumer engagement, and long-term loyalty. All external communications (press, creators, partners) should reflect the same standards as our client service: respectful, kind, intentional, deliberate, and honest, without relying on pushy sales tactics. Exposure to online, digital, or e-commerce marketing is preferred, as it supports strong omni-channel execution, though deep specialization is not required. Given access to confidential information, this role requires sound judgment, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility in protecting brand trust.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
・Brand & Strategic Planning
- Develop and lead mid-term brand strategies to enhance brand value, sales, and market share.
- Align local sales and profit (P&L) targets with global brand objectives in collaboration with APAC.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Ensure brand philosophy, tone, and positioning are consistently represented.
- Execute plans in partnership with Digital Marketing, Commercial and CRM teams
- Creating and implementing presentations internally and externally
・360 Marketing
(Consumer Marketing )
- Define and validate media strategies across digital, and online channels
- Design Online & Offline CRM customer journeys
- Optimize marketing approaches based on consumer segmentation
- Maximize performance across online (Brand.com, 3PP) and offline touchpoints
- Operating and managing the online store (Brand.com)
- Review and ensure quality of creative assets across online and offline platforms
- Manage influencer partnerships, contracts, and content alignment
(Product Marketing)
- Develop category, hero product, and new product strategies, including objectives and communication plans
- Lead new product launch planning, demand forecasting, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Support retail marketing and in-store initiatives
- Manage product lifecycle, pricing, and visual asset governance
- Oversee VMD, in-store tools, and merchandising guidelines
・Budget Management
- Manage marketing budgets and optimize return on investment
- P&L Management
・Brand Guardianship
- Embed Le Labo’s brand DNA, craft principles, and values into all marketing initiatives
- Design and execute activations that prioritize meaningful experiences and long-term relationships over short-term sales
- Demonstrate strong discretion by adhering to guardrails around confidential information, strategy, and data
- Apply a “conscious craft” mindset, considering ethical standards and impact when working with partners and initiatives

Qualifications
・Minimum Education level: Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
・Minimum Years of Experience: 7+ years in related field, with prior experience leading a team
・Required Language Proficiency: Excellent in Communication, proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English
